Deb & Joe Do Lamaze....
After the whole blackout thing, we had Lamaze this weekend! Now, I got all annoyed at Joe because on Wednesday night I told him to get gas, but he says 'don't worry, I'll get it before Sat' -- HELLO, what happened next? The Blackout, which meant no gas, which meant I was going to kill him before we even started the weekend!!!
Sat morning I couldn't get him up and when he finally got out of bed and we were ready to leave, where is he? In the backyard HOSING DOWN THE CAR BECAUSE OF THE BIRD CRAP AND THE POLLEN!!!
Are you friggin kidding me buddy?? We're supposed to be there, in the room at 9AM -- it is now 8:15 and we still have to stop by my mother's to get the exercise mat, get out there and find a parking space!! Ok, he finally finishes, we leave and instead of going towards my mother's, he goes in the opposite direction. WHERE ARE YOU GOING? Are you ready? TO GET GAS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh the friggin nerves at this point. Can you say STRESS? I'm supposed to be calm, who the heLL is calm with this nonsense?? Very calmly I tell him that if he ever does this again, with the no gas in the car and we're 3 weeks from delivery, I WILL KILL HIM!! And he just looked at me and said 'you're right Baby' -- damN right, I'm right!
Now we get by LIJ and he's searching frantically all over the place for his Zippo (lighter) and he can't find it. I tell him to stop and wait until the friggin car is parked and look then, but nervous nellie won't rest until he finds it. Which he didn't, so then I had to hear him biotch and moan about it. At this point, I am ready to look for another coach because I was going to kill him for sure. Geez, walking home on Thursday was a breeze compared to what the heLL was happening on Sat morning! I think it was his nerves and they finally got to him.
Meanwhile I could barely walk up the hill to the hospital because my legs and muscles were screaming!!! But was I complaining? NO!!!!
We get up to the room and of course, we're the last ones there and all of a sudden he taps me and shows me his Zippo and starts laughing!
I wanted to punch him!
So he leans down and whispers in my ear 'didn't I tell you we would have fun together baby?'!!!! Is that what it's called?? LOL
It was an all day thing and Kathi, you were right when you called it Lamazzzzze because during the movie JOE FELL ASLEEP AND STARTED TO SNORE!!! OH I WANTED TO DIE RIGHT THEN AND THERE!!!!
I kept nudging him and he's telling me that he wasn't sleeping and he wasn't snoring!!! HELLO, it wasn't me!!! I was trying SOOOO hard to stay awake because all that walking hit me on Sat and I was exhausted, both physically and mentally, but at least I stayed awake!!! And he kept falling back asleep and snoring!!!!
When we went there yesterday, Joe wanted to know if we were going to see another movie because he was tired and needed a nap!!!!
Thankfully, there wasn't any more movies!!!
Then when it was time for the breathing, he's supposed to be counting and reassuring me with 'comforting' words -- he's counting so fast, like we're in a race or playing red light green light one two three, that I had to tell him to slow down I was going to hyperventilate!!!!
When I asked where my words of encouragement were, he says 'how can I do that and count at the same time'!!!
When it was time for the dads to do the breathing, he was so serious that I cracked up!! Then yesterday the teacher wanted to go around the room and have us say something special about each other and he looked at me like 'what' and I cracked up and the teacher was like 'these two are always laughing' (you know she knew our names out of the whole class, right?) and when it came time for him to speak, he made me and the teacher CRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH GOD HELP ME!!! I asked the teacher what happens if the coach passes out and she laughed! This is going to be some experience, let me tell ya!!
But we 'graduated' and got our certificate!!!
You can only imagine the 'Deb & Joe deliver a baby' story, huh?![]()
