Debating to take off work tomorrow...

So my goddaughter is being born tomorrow. My brother lives in PA, and my parents may be going down to see them tomorrow. Thing is, I'm a teacher and I already comitted to tutoring after school..I really want to go see her though, as well as my other nieces and nephew bc I hardly get to see them bc they live in PA!

I know for a fact I have 8 sick days...I also know that next semester I have to do fieldwork in 3 different schools , so I will be taking a few days off for that. I just don't know waht to do!

I wish FH could take off and we could go for the day together bc he's the godfather =) He tried taking off Friday (I have off Friday) bc he needs to get his car looked at, and that would be a perfect day to go BUT I have a presentation at school that night BLAHHH never seems to work out! lol

Should I go tomorrow??? or wait for FH and go for a weekend??


I just feel like since I am her godmother, I should be there, you know??

that's tough. if you'll need those 8 days and you think it will be an issue with taking off I'd wait.

I know it's hard but no one expects you to go to PA that day. Plus the mom is gonna be exhausted and in pain.
