Debi's Shower at 2PM!!!!! UPDATE PICS, PICS, PICS!!!!!!!!!!!

Was up LATE, finishing everything!! Made the little seashell buckets, and attached ribbon with seashells, but was frustrated with breaking shells, everytime I went to put a hole in them. I prepared the candy boxes and the games w/prizes, and wrapped Debi's gifts. Washed my hair, went to bed, and my 80 yr. Mom called me, early, to say she had a UTI w/bleeding. (she's on Coumadin/anti coagulant, so it's important for.......oh good gravy, there's the doorbell, and I'm in my nightgown!!!! ......Ok, that was the flower delivery w/Debi's corsage!!!! Anyway, it's important for my Mom to get to the Dr. I called and got the answering service, and PRAYED I'd get a call back ASAP, and I DID!!!!! I was told to bring Mom in RIGHT AWAY!!!!!!!!!!! So, DH just took her to the Dr. for me!!!!!!!! Mom's Dr. is not close to us. I hope Mom feels better for the shower!!! I want to go out and get a decent shower outfit; My drip dry skirt is WET!!!!!!!!!! Praying I'll have plenty of time and will find someing QUICKLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Didn't meet Fred's Parents or Aunt yet!!!! Too busy putting seastars on the shower umbrella!!! By the way, the hot glue seemed to work, without tearing the umbrella!!! Mary MOB

I had plenty of help setting up, tearing down, and in between!!!!! I want to thank THE LORD for answering my prayer, stopping the rain, and having the sun shine!!!!!!!!!
As the guests arrived, I asked them to sign a decorative posterboard, and while waiting for everyone to arrive, they filled out 'Pearls of Wisdom',using topics: wedding, money, honesty, old boyfriends, chores, in-laws, fighting, and children, and beginning each piece of wisdom, by using the words, 'Always' and ' Never' !!!!!! The other project was, ' If I were the One Getting Married'. We played three games, after our meal:

TV Twosomes
Honeymoon Trivia
How well do you know the Bride

Prizes were:
Turquoise compact umbrella
Teacup notes
Sea star notes
Candles

Each guest received a little bucket, containing:
Turquoise emory board
Scented cream
Lip gloss
Beach theme magnetic pad
Mini photo album
Mini Sea star floating candles
Flip Flop cookie
Choc. Seashell candies
Gum
Cupcakes with choc. seashells
Mini candle arrangement as seen in my album

The large centerpieces went to Debi, her BM, and her FMIL and I used one as a game prize when there was a three way tie.

It was obvious Debi has two Moms who love her, judging from the gifts!!!!!! Fred's Mom gave her some registry items, in addition to some DIY gifts.As soon as pics come my way, I can show you what Debi got!!

Bring on the Wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
