December Brides

What do you guys have left to do?

I have my 2nd fitting this Friday

This Saturday we may go pick up our wedding bands

Sunday I have a hair trial - I ordered a veil online and hopefully it will be here in time for the trial - I also have my two Thomas Knoell pieces that I am bringing with me....

After that I only have 6 weekends left

I still want to do a final make up trial with M-I-A

We have to book limos and a shuttle (depending on how many hotel guests we have)

I have to finish up HM shopping

I have to do table numbers - maybe next weekend

We have to see a sample centerpiece and have our final meeting with the florist

We have to meet with JT

FH has to get his tux or suit and pick out the groomsmens tuxes

In the middle of November my reception dress is supposed to come in - I'll need fittings for that too

We have to finalize our ceremony and get a unity candle

I need to find comfy shoes - white flip flops I guess

I got to get the bridesmaid gifs - we may head to the Coach outlet after my hair trial since we'll already be out in LI

We have to pick our ceremony music and music for the reception

Boxes for the hotel guests (once we find out how many are staying)

I think I got a lot of the major things out of the way - but I'm probably forgetting stuff.....I can't even remember because we have so many vendors and so many things to do

I have to schedule my fittings- probably the 2nd week in november so my sister can come

Maybe get wedding bands engraved

Schedule another makeup trial- just to see something different and if i like it better

Figure out presents for bridal party and parents

Buy garter and dye my shoes

I have to finish up HM shopping- i pretty much just need like another bathing suit or two and like another pair of shorts

I have to do table numbers

We have to see a sample centerpiece and have our final meeting with the florist (hopefully the florist gets back to me soon I emailed her 2 weeks ago)

We have to meet with JT

Make sure all the groomsmen got measured for their tuxes

Pay the music director at church and go over music

Pick music for bridal party enterance as well as other reception music

OOT Boxes for the hotel guests (once we find out how many are staying)

Placecards and seating chart- after Nov 10th (RSVP date)

Make final meetings with DJ, Photo/Video, Hall, Florist and probably forgetting someone lol


**Now ask me what I have left to do for school this semester and I probably couldn't even tell you such a great student this wedding just takes the life right outta me

yeah its crazy, there is a lot to do.....

placecards, seating, oot bags, the shuttle situation - all that has to wait until after the rsvp date which is Nov 1 (and we probably won't have it 100% until a week or two after b/c of late responses and making phone calls) - which is annoying

just this weekend is already overwhelming with the dress fitting, the wedding bands, the hair trial and then shopping for gifts

plus im trying to work out and i barely have time but i HAVE to do it

omg, you just made me realize all the stuff I have left to do lol

Lets see:

I need to find someone to do hair

I have to find clothes for HM, also a Bathing suit, (I don't know where I can find one now!)

I have to find a ring

Tomorrow is my last fitting (hopefully)

I have to wait for my jacket to come in and see if it looks okay with my dress

Table numbers have to be decided upon

I still need to finalize addresses for some people

I have to get the BP gifts

Have to color my shoes

i also have to send out invites..I know, I am way behind but this weekend they are going out!

We have no OOT guests, but I need to find a hotel for me and FH to stay in after the wedding

Figure out what we are doing with the centerpieces

Figure out what type of menu we are doing for RD

Find an outfit for the RD

Try to find a great gift for the parents


That seems to be about it.

Thanks to my bonus I am able to pay off the last 2 vendors for the wedding, so I no longer have to worry about that HOORAY!!!!!

oh i know between school and doing crap for the wedding it's hard to find time for the gym. I usually go every Mon, Wed, Thur and then I shoot for either Friday or Saturday. Sunday is a no go since I usually relax, and do homework and Tuesday I am at school till 8:30 so that;s not good either. But I NEED to find time to go to the gym as well. That;s why I am holding off on my fittings too haha

Place card holders (need to buy remainder)

Buy GM /RB gifts

Buy FG gifts - Going with doll NapaValleygirl bought for hers.

Buy parent’s gifts (hankies)

Tuxes (asked by when we need to order and they said Nov.)

Book Mini-moon (AC Baby)

Book hotel for night of wedding - just going to book one of our blocked rooms.

Finalize/Order favors (now we're doing Candy Buffet and larger ornament)

RD cake (Dominican cake…mom is working on this)

Buy candy for Candy Bar

Buy Lazo for ceremony (going with MOH to hunt for this in Jackson Heights)

Buy Scoops for Candy bar (still need to find)

Flowers (FH took pics of what I wanted to his couson...bust hasn't heard from him I think we're going to need to get the tall vases. Which will mean a trip to the flower district in the city.)

Meet with JT and choose menu

Cake tasting (Dortoni's) - Maybe? I want to add color and maybe another tier to one of the cakes that come with our package..but if it's crazy expensive will just go with what they give me.

1st fitting is 11/5

Put wording together or programs

Buy Memorial Candle


I still have a lot to do...

i feel like i am missing a lot of things!

oh, we might blow up one of our e-pics if i get the CD from AG in time....

and we might display our parents wedding pics - but again that is only if we have the time to find their photos, scan them and frame them

and we have to figure out favors still - but that is another thing i want to wait on RSVPS for - to see how many we need....16 days until the RSVP cut off

we have 28 yes responses and 0 no's

You just reminded me...I have to pick one of our epics for our signature board.

I need to call RK to see if my tiara came in yet and the extra material for my shrug.

Yay for your 28 responses I have to call my parents later to see if they recieved anymore RSVP's for me.

Yes it is an eye opener...but you def. do still have time

nicole- i would book limo's soon, well thats if you want a particular limo so this way hopefully its not booked for another event.

Also tuxes get taken care of soon bc your fh and the rest of the guys should give in their measurements around 2 weeks before the latest, and its almost november and guys can take a long time to do this and delay the process for some reason

FH might be buying a 3 piece suit, if not he is buying his tux - he isnt renting anything....and the groomsmen are buying their tuxes as well - they all do side jobs with DJ companies so they need new tuxes anyway.....FH saw a 3 piece suit that he loves - its like 1K or so but at least he can wear it again and he can have alterations so that it fits him perfectly.....i think he'll actually look more sexy in the suit then in a tuxedo - but im still not sure what he is going to do.....i cant believe how close its getting....im going to tell him that he really needs to start getting a move on things though - just because he is worse than i am with procrastinating!!!! and im BAD!!

you think they are open that day? i wanted to go that day so we didnt have to be late for work or take off....but its the week before the wedding, not sure i want to wait that long i guess i can call and see if they are open that day

if you order a dress label let me know - i kind of wanted one and never ordered one
