December Brides

What are your ideas/feelings on your ceremony in December? I am really considering the idea and I LOVE the decorations that go along with a December/Winter Wonderland Theme.

Please share your thoughts.

December Brides - Long Island Weddings

As I said in my FM to you, Christmas!!! Christmas theme was the obvious answer for us since I love everything about the holiday and he proposed under the tree at Rockefeller so it has significance to us.

We're doing like a midwinters night dreamy vintage-y wedding. A lot of silver and soft golds... Blacks and ivory.

December Brides - Long Island Weddings

im getting married in december. I wasn't too happy with the idea at first. I really wanted a november wedding like early november. I had my heart set on it, but i just couldn't afford the place i wanted to get married at so I chose december for the major price change!!!
the idea eventually grew on me after we booked and after looking on pinterest, i found 1 million things i love and all our decorations and small touches are really coming together and when i picked my dress and found everything i wanted, it really really made me fall in love and now i could never image getting married at any other time of the year!!! :)

i also love love love christmas so for me, it worked! :) best of luck!

December Brides - Long Island Weddings

My brother got married on January 1st and the decorations were gorgeous. The Church still had the Christmas tree up along with poinsettias on the alter. At the venue they had soft blue lighting to make it a winter land type feel. It was beautiful!

December Brides - Long Island Weddings

I don't have a theme, but my colors are gold, ivory and black. My ceremony room is decorated with trees and poinsettias so I'm going to try and incorporate sone wintry stuff in there.

I've always wanted a winter wedding.....it's my favorite season!

December Brides - Long Island Weddings

I haven't started much planning yet but December is a major possibility for us and I'm thinking of doing a fire and ice theme. Lots of emphasis on lighting, blues, oranges, pinks for the reception ( it sounds weird but it looks awesome in pictures ice found). I'm in between choosing slate gray or merlot for bridesmaids but if I choose gray the bouquets will be bright oranges, reds, etc. I haven't put much thought into ceremony decorations yet but the winter decorations that come with the ceremony and reception location are always a bonus!!!
