Decided on Honeymoon..............

I posted about a week ago that my fiance and I needed help deciding on where to go for our honeymoon bc we wanted the exoctic island w/ some night life. Well last night we decided that we would go to Hawaii since i've only heard great things about it and had friends who went their on their honeymoon.

Can anyone recommend to me travel agents they used to make them their package. Also, if you are going to Hawaii where are you staying.

We want to go to Maui, Kauai and Ohau.

I got married in june and went to Hawaii for 2 weeks- Oahu first (3 nights), then Kauai (4 nights), then Maui (7 nights). We used Liberty Travel and stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki on Oahu, the Hyatt Regency on Kauai, and the Fairmont Kea Lani on Maui. We flew out of Newark direct to Honolulu. We had an AMAZING time - everything was fabulous. I had a Frommers Hawaii guidebook and found it helpful in the planning stages. Good Luck!!

We were in Hawaii last month on our honeymoon. We went to Oahu for two nights and Maui for 12 nights. We stayed at the Hyatt in Maui. I used Liberty Travel in St. James. A girl named Sharon helped me. She also honeymooned in Hawaii so that was a plus.

I am going to Maui for 7 days - Grand Wailea and Kauai for 3 Hyatt Regency. I can't wait!

I can't decide to stay in the Grand Waliea or the Four Seasons in Maui. ANyone have any input on why I should pick one over the other?

I debated between the two too! I know a bunch of people who stayed at the 4 Seasons and absolutely loved it and rave about it. I do not know anyone personally who stayed at the Grand Wailea (besides brides from this board).

My very close friend who stayed at the 4 Seasons told me to stay at the Grand Wailea. He said he liked it better (his wife works for 4 Seasons so he had to stay there for price reasons). We are very similar in personality so that kind of helped me make our decision. He highly recommended the 4 Seasons on the Big Island. He said it was the best place he has ever been to.

From what I heard the 4 Seasons tends to attract business trips and conferences. The Grand Wailea tends to have children (I guesss because of the slides?). That's all I really heard about major difference. I hear they both have great restaurants, beaches and service.

From what I hear they are both gorgeous so you can't go wrong!!!!

teri and michele31 turned me onto Kirstine at Liberty Travel in Levittown...

everything went so well...there was a BIG glich...the hotle we were going to be spending 7 days in kicked us out (they overbooked) and said Spaniards came before Americans...well the entire staff at Liberty Travel went on the hunt for another hotel for us in the area...(august in Spain...is not an easy thing)

they called and found us one while we were staying at our first hotel and everything turned out perfect...when they called to tell us...they said they were crying with joy, b/c the whole staff had been trying to help us...

I guess its their job, but they came through for us...

For my honeymoon in July I spent 4 nights at the Halekulani on Oahu, 3 nights at the Hyatt on Kuaui, and 4 nights at the Four Seasons Maui.

Someone mentioned that Grand Wailea having a lot of kids... so did the Four Seasons. So that shouldn't be a deciding factor for you. I think the difference is more one of style. Grand Wailea strikes me as more Vegas style -- pools with giant slides, swim up bars, etc. Whereas Four Seasons is more subdued, large rectangular pool with a fountain. They share the same exact beach, so that can't decide it either. Really you can't go wrong either way!
