I am such a beach person, but also love history, and being that i am of Dominican Decent I go 3 times a years to visit parents , i wanted something totally new, not in the Caribbean, so my FH and I decided on GREECE...
Ive been on travel forums all day, and i think planning a trip to Greece (diff islands, beach, ruins) is going to be tougher then planning a wedding. So far we have Decided 2 days in Athens, 3 days in Mykonos, 2 Days in Santorini and Last day in athens.
This is the BM's gift to us, he originally wanted to send us to an all inclusive some where in the carribean, so i guess with us going to Greece, we would have to cover our own food and drinks.

why not do a mediterranean cruise! that's what we are doing and you can see so many new islands instead of being on just one! and you can see other countries and most of the european cruises stop at santorini and mykonos!

thats a cool idea, if i can go to athens for a day or 2, becuase i REALLY REALLY want to see all the ruins and go site seeing there. but let me check out the cruise...
My FH and I are doing Rosetta Stone Italian, so he really wanted to go to Italy first, but i convinced him to do greece instead, aside from Bora Bora its my dream place.

nice!!! FH and I thought of doing our wedding in greece in the very beginning of planning but too much legal hassle. It is still one of my must places to visit

another note is that FH are really big partiers when we go on vacation, here in NYC we are 2 boring people, but on vacation we dont want to lay out in the beach all day and sleep at night, we want to party and drink at night, so i think he wont want to to a cruise since we will be stuck there at night, but i will checkit out anyway

yeah, we are going to have a travel agent book it for us because planning something like that beyond my comprehension...as we get closer to the date, we'll do it, it too far away for cruises to know whats going to be available for next year.
yeah but i'm a total history buff and i LOVE the beach but my FH hates the beach so we had to compromise - he got the history which he loves to, and he gets tosee things he never has before and i get the beach and pool!

there is SO much nightlife on a cruise you would think you are in the middle of NYC with clubs, bars and lounges and most have casinos too!

ummmmm we got it for free.... yeah im horrible, but i know its over $500. and my FH got it from someone who had you know what kind of copies, the only thing i cant do is register it online, but everything else is the same.

I want to go to greece and stand where 300 stood against thousands (from the movie 300.lol) but i think that place is like on the other end of the country. oh well.
I want to go to Egypt to the Valley of the Kings, To isreal, the holy land and everything around
I want to go to Africa and stand on the ports where my ancestors came from. (The slaves that went to DR..lol, dont let my light skin fool you) then i want to party like a rockstar at night.. hahahahahahahahahaha
