Decorating the church

Decorating the church

Hi ladies,

I am in need of help for decorating my church. I don't want something too expensive and don't want it to look too simple. Does anyone have pictures of a church decorated that they can send me? Thanks! This will be really helpful.

My color scheme is lavendar. I don't know much about flowers and don't want to get taken advantage of.

Oh, some pictures of centerpieces will be nice too. I need all the help that I need. *sigh*

I just plan on putting flowers or bows on the first couple of pews...nothing too fancy.

we are having pew bows every 2 pews- it will be with peonies flowers and some sort of bow- the florist is doing it...no altar decorations

Thanks ladies for sharing!

I wasn't sure if I had to put decorations on the altar or if I can leave it blank.

Thank you!

Re: Decorating the church

I'm putting two fireplace baskets on the alter with long stemmed red roses in them... then after the ceremony, the roses will make their way to The Crescent to be handed to each female guest as they enter the main room. I thought it was a nice touch. George, from Signature florist (VERY reasonable), is making the flowers with those little water tubes at the end so that they stay fresh. I'm putting white roses bunched together and hanging from the center of the pew bows on the first couple of pews and just the pew bows on the rest of the aisles. The centerpieces are the Black Magic Roses ring with the three candle pillars lit in the center (very classy, and I think the candlelight will look wonderful at dusk when the reception starts!)

If you want an honest and GOOD florist, I highly suggest George from Signature in Bellmore! (he has a lot of fans on this site!)
