Decorations!

Lauren had a good idea... lets post our holiday decorations!











that's all i have for right now. i have to get garland and some other crap. lol

This was the project we worked on last year... were putting it up again tonight!!! (took us four months to draw, cut, paint, seal and finish and he got wood in his eye more times than I can remember... but... it was worth it! )

I love that! My mom and I want to cut out gingerbread boys and girls and paint them for my house... our house is brown and I think we can really make it look like a gingerbread house. Did you work from a pattern on those? They look amazing!

I love that! My mom and I want to cut out gingerbread boys and girls and paint them for my house... our house is brown and I think we can really make it look like a gingerbread house. Did you work from a pattern on those? They look amazing!

Hey! We sketched them onto large pieces of MDF board (from anywhere, home depot, etc) and then Vin cut them out using a hand saw... then we just painted them. The snoopy house is actually 3d though, we had to build a real one so make sure he stayed up. Its the cutting out of the characters that took the longest, but with ginger bread men you definitely can do it easily. Do you have a electric saws? Or anyone you know? Make sure you use outdoor paint, and do not get a 'Anti-yellowing' sealer... it still yellows and is 20 bucks more!!!

I need to take pictures tonight of my decorations outside. My small porch has lights and stuff it came out cute! inside I have decorated everything I just need my tree which will go up in about a week or so. Thanksgiving was early this year so I still have to wait for my tree until maybe next weekend! YAY!! Then it will feel more ike Christmas!
