My mom made a nice wreath using my wedding colors for the front door. She also wrapped white tulle around the banister going up the stairs.

Re: Decorations for Day of - House
I do a lot of flower arrangements with silk flowers, so for my FSIL's wedding I did several arrangements to put around the house, we decorated with tulle, wedding lights, etc. My FMIL also hired a baloon guy (from what she said it was pretty expensive) for outside stuff, in the pool, etc. But if you go to Michael's when there's 50% off silk flowers, you can do arrangements for a pretty decent price.

Do you have any pictures? I'd love to get some ideas.
I'm going to a wholesale silk flower distributor next weekend so I'm hoping to get most of the supplies then, even though my wedding is still months away, i want to get this part out of the way. It will take me forever to put them together.

they put toulle swagged on the big bay window
my parents planted all pink and white flowers in the front yard- geraniums and other flowers -

Re: Decorations for Day of - House
my aunt made the decorations from stuff we bought at Michaels and the night before the wedding, i had all of my female relatives at my house and we drank and laughed and decorated! it was awesome!!! definitely a great way to relax the night before!!!
Huh.. I didn't even think of this. Well, we are getting married 4 days after Christmas so all of the Christmas decorations will be up. Maybe I can convince my mom to decorate the tree in my wedding colors. HHmm...

I am also doing tulle around the banisters and a large floral arrangement.

Re: Decorations for Day of - House
it is a tradition in my family to 'sneak' decorations!
So the night before the wedding - the other girls sneak and decorate the front of the house and then when they are done the bride comes out and sees it!!
it is so cute and so far no one has gotten caught in the act!! we just do tulle around the banisters and a little decoration hanging from each side and maybe one from the lamp too nothing too crazy
winter girls - if you use balloons dont put them out until minutes before! we did that for my cousin and they deflate in cold weather and we had to take them all down!
for the inside my florist said they usually throw that in for us - another reason i love my florist! my mom wants an arrangement for the living room and one for the dining room so we are probably going to order one

I find it pretty easy to do, but I'm told I have a knack for it. I don't have a digital so I can't send you pics, sorry . If you tell me your colors, I'll find some things online & FM you with ideas.
