deep conditioners... help!

ok so I have never deep conditioned my hair and was thinking of doing so before the wedding a few times so my hair is healthier...

does anyone have any recommendations of a good deep conditioner to use?!
Is the oil better? I am totally clueless here lol

My fave is Frederik Fekkai technician color mask. it's $$ so I don't buy it anymore, but I may use my GC to sephora to buy it again! I use Moroccan oil every day when I dry my hair also. It really makes it shiny, but I think I'm starting to get build up because it's not as shiny as it was when I first started using it.

I don't know about deep conditioners, never tried (Lisa, really? Your hair doesn't look damaged!) I have heard good things about the Fekkai one that JEsebelle mentioned though. I DO use BioSilk every day when I dry my hair and it's great for making it super silky and helping with flyaways. And I use a clarifying shampoo every week to 10 days or so to remove buildup.

i have really dry extremely curly hair and i find that spraying infusium 23 leave in conditioner in my hair after i wash it really helps, i cant even get a brush through it without my infusium. been using it for years its amazing makes my hair so much softer. i turned my sisters and my mom on to it and it helps with their straight hair making it much softer and silkier

also i do hot oil treatments once a month, i just buy cheap drugstore brand stuff because basically oil is oil. i would only recommend doing this if you have very dry hair like mine thats just thirsting for moisture, but if you get greasy easily (i could go days and day and my hair stil wouldnt be greasy, it would be frizzy but not greasy lol its that dry) i wouldnt use it.

I'm a hair stylist...It depends on your hair....If your hair is damaged you need protein..If its just dry you need moisture..All that over the counter oil stuff doesn't work in my opinion...Is you hair curly, straight, flat, frizzy?

Use this. It makes my hair shiny and soft for a couple of weeks at least.

eta: its a clear shine gloss treatment. No color

i would suggest going to the salon and getting a keratin treatment if you can afford. one treatment is amazing

other than that i usually use the pantene 5 minute mask or the garneir nutrisse deep conditioner

http://www.ojon.com/shop.php

I HAVE VERY CURLY THIN DRY HAIR

i bought this stuff at Ulta it's 20bucks for the small little jar BUT I can't complain

I used overnight and wear a plastic shower cap

I wash it out - then shampoo and condition regularly ( i use paul mitchell shampoo and conditioner)

makes my hair really soft and when i straighten it with a flat iron SHINY AND FABULOUS.

ALSO ALSO ASLO I would recommend a good
gloss. just go to a hair salon and say you need a gloss done like a week before your wedding. It wont add color just a nice layer of luster and shine and it's oly like 30 bucks

GOOD LUCK!!

Jojoba oil treatments and Joico Kpak deep conditioner.$17 a bottle but worth every penny.

When I go for a treatment in the hair salon they use moroccan oil intense hydrating mask. At home I use bumble and bumble deeep or aveda damage remedy. They both work well if your hair is dry and/or damaged.

its not super damaged at all... starting to get that way though. Its color treated (blond highlights)
and straight. its thin hair, but i have a lot of it lol
and not SUPER frizzy, but its gets bad sometimes. haha

I have blonde, fine color treated hair (growing it out now) and loved the 'Healthy, Sexy Hair' deep conditioner in a tube. It has protein in it, as well as cocoa extract. I only use it like once a month or so, because the protein does dry your hair out if you use it too often.

The other deep conditioner I love is Kerastase Age Recharge. You can get it as a salon treatment in some salons (it's only like $35), or buy a huge tub of it for $50 that lasts like a year. It makes my hair super soft without adding additional protein.

I switch between the two depending on if my hair is splitting or just dry. I use the protein one if my hair is splitting and the non protein one if my hair is dry.

Then I would suggest...unite Moisture treatment...or goldwell rich repair for at home or go to the salon and get a redken chemistry system..its formulated depending on your hair type. we charge $15 for the treatment or $25 for the treatment and take home mask. I would still suggest getting a clear gloss the week b4 your wedding for the shine..most importantly get regular haircuts or no matter what you do, your ends will look fried
