I feel ya sister. And trust me, no matter WHO puts more money into the wedding fund, it will still be on your mind. That is hopefully (for me, you, everyone!!), until the day of your wedding when you're having the best time of your life and it was worth every penny and every worry. ![]()

when we sat down to budget, we thought we had it all under control, then we booked the hall. we re-budgeted. then the photgrapher, then the thank yous, then the engagement party, then stamps, the f+++++++ stamps.

most of us will never have enough money and will stress about it right up until the day we write that final check

But really, when it comes down to it, we all do what we can do, somehow it all works out in the end and no matter what, we wind up married and that's what matters.

Ok you two now have a bride friend for life. Thanks! I know I have to keep it all in perspective. All I want is to be married to the love of my life! Sometimes the business end of the wedding is totally overwhelming.

Let me tell you, this has been a HUGE thing on my mind for the past few days.. I wrote a list of expenses and I cant believe what it comes out to. Its scary actually. I can pay off 1/3 of the house with the money were spending on a wedding! Is it worth it? I ask myself everyday.. But i like to think so. Its our one day in a lifetime fairytale.. Only happens once. The memories made and the experience is priceless.

we r here for ya girl.......we all go through it...dont stress..be glad you have such a wonderful FH i know plenty of girls who have weddings paid in full for them and their FH's stink!!!

FH just said 10 minute ago that the RH alone is almost double our down payment. LIKE WHAT!!!!!!! It is insane. Thats why i am trying to get everything done now, pay for everything slowly over the next year so I dont jump off a bridge closer to the wedding!

I know how you feel about FH contributing more then you, I am in the same situation!!!!!! Unfortunately I was fired from my job, due to my disability and have been unemployed for almost a year now!!!! I have been trying to make up for the financial aspect of things by working a lot on DIY projects. I have also been able to book the least expensive vendors, as I have had time to research. It really has helped us a lot and FH is so grateful, although it is unfortunate that I don't have a job, I really have gotten a great deal done. If FH doesn't have a problem with it do not feel guilty!!!!! The day will be beautiful and you know that after all this stress somehow everything gets payed for!!!!!!!!

Let me first say that we have some AMAZING ladies on here. What great, heartfelt advice and sympathy! I love it!
Oh and believe me I would say that 90% of the brides on here will stress about the cost of their wedding at some point whether it be the venue, flowers, stamps, or what have you. IT IS EXPENSIVE!! To some, it may not be worth it, but to others it really is the one day where they can live out their childhood fantasy( I know I have had this fairy tale vision since I was 8) and in the end it will ALL be worth it.

FH and I have no help from our parents, not even a $1. so imagine how we feel...
well my parents lent us their apartment since they moved back to the Dom. Rep.. so i guess they did help us... becuase without that, id be having a luncheon at McD's.
lets just think that is all worth it.. and when we are old wrinkly ladies and look at our albums and video, we will know it was the best thing we ever did!
