Haha, when I first got engaged I wanted a 2012 wedding. I didn't think I would be able to find something in the specific months I wanted for 2011 (I really only wanted June). When I told my FH, he looked at me like I had grown a 2nd head. He was like sorry babe, that's where i put my foot down....I want 2011. So a year engagement it was. I'm glad I listened to him.

if it's something you guys can afford to do and you won't get charged any extra than I say go for it!

Though on the flip side, if you wait you really will appreciate all the extra time you have to plan/save. I know how you feel - I wish it was just here already!!! But I know in the long run I am going to be happy we had all this time to plan for it, save for it, and just enjoy being engaged.

I orginally was thinking of having a winter wedding around December 2011/January 2012 ( I really didn't want 2012 but everyone told me not to be silly for 1 month). But then we moved it to August 5, 2011 and I was sooooo happy hahah I felt like I didn't have to wait forever anymore. Right now if I moved it up anymore I would have more stress than I could possibly handle lol In addition, to planning the wedding, going to nursing school, we have to look for and buy a house! My head is about to explode just thinking about it.

Your wedding day will come before you know it plus you have all this extra time to plan the little details which I think are much more fun anyway.

I originally wanted an Oct 2010 wedding, but FH insisted we wait til early 2011. There is a part of me that wishes that the wedding was in Oct but the majority of me is so thankful that it's not til 2011. We need more time to save to pay this off.

I always wanted a fall wedding, but I feel the same as you do, its almost 2012! My gf is getting married january 2012 and i was like wow thats only 3 months after mine!

I really wish I could move up the wedding but number one I don't have the money, and numner 2 I couldn't imagine my wedding in spring or summer so October 2011 it is!

I would love to get married sooner but Id rather relax and take our time then be stressed LoL! I want to make sure everything is perfect and Im so no where near ready haha

I'm getting married Sept. 2011 and have tried to move my date up, but all the dates I wanted were already booked at my hall. So I still have to wait 442 days

once the summer is over, us fall 2011 brides are going to kick it into high gear! plan to have your wedding all planned by may so you can enjoy your summer and focus on getting the perfect tan. that's my plan!! i want to be DONE by may, of course i'll have some odds and ends, but i hope to be set with the bulk of it.

Don't stress...we will be engaged 2.4 years before we are married. It will go quickly, plus it gives you more time to plan the perfect wedding with less stress

when we originally got engaged in Dec '08 I wanted June '10. I'd cry in my room and not tell anyone lol..FH was right in saying it would be good to give ourslves the extra year..I am so not stressed and financially we're fine now with everything for the wedding. Time is flying! It would have been over already if we moved it up like I wanted to. It will come Sarena
