im debating about the snowflake i have on it... maybe i can just put another pine cone in that place???
I love it and I think that might be a good idea too. Switch out the snow flake for pine cones. If you want snow flakes maybe you could find floating snow flake candles. I think that might be cute too, but I do like the candles you already have.
Great Job!!!!

I like the look but here are some ideas....try real pine, add just red floating candles. Do a reg candle not a rose. I just think it looks weird and dollar storeish...sorry Add real pine cones and maybe put some 'snow' around them. I would not use the snowflakes in the cp but around the table as a scattered decoration. JMHO I think they look really nice for a winter wedding

I like the idea of a pine cone in place of the snowflake, if you want the idea of snow, what about the fake stuff? You could gently spray the pine cones and greenery, then add the flowers and bowl? They cam out great and I didn't even notice the snowflake until you mentioned it.

Re: UPDATED...MY DIY CP
I am doing something a little similar - we are using real greens and doing a hurricane candle in the middle. The greens will have roses in them and some other Christmas flowers, like poinsettias and berries- hope that helps! Don't stress too much.

Re: UPDATED...MY DIY CP
I think it's a great idea and perfect for the holidays! I agree with previous posters who suggested trying real pine boughs - the scent would be nice and it also wouldn't be so uniform - something like this, but I would let it be a little more uneven and natural looking, where you can see some of the brown and thickness of the pine branch and maybe using straighter boughs and either placing or bendign/weaving them into a circular-ish wreath
I think the pinecones and some red berries would be enough on the outside. All of the things you choose are beautiful but there isn't anywhere for your eye to rest.
The bowl is awesome and I think the floating candles inside will be gorgeous. I agree with the other poster that regular floating candles and no rocks would be fine. I think sometimes simple works better.
Your centerpiece is a great idea and I think it will make your tables feel very warm and inviting, like Christmas dinner

Re: UPDATED...MY DIY CP
i am crying right now because not 1 person likes my CP.. i already bought everything to make it and im having people tell me it looks too fake , and everything else.. i cant afford real flowers.. or any other fancy items that cost money..
i guess i was just wishful thinking that everyone would love it.. now i feel stupid, that is looks just horrible.

Ok don't panic. Sometimes simple is the best route.
Those pine wreaths (as posted above) are very inexpensive - under $5 a piece.
Get a red pillar candle and plop it into a hurricane vase like this:
Those can all be purchased at AC Moore or Michaels or even WALMART.
...Put the hurricane vase in the center of the pine circle and call it a day.
OR you could even leave the pine out! Just do the red candle in the hurricane vase, and maybe toss some baby pine cones on the table. All reception halls that I've been to put votives on the tables anyway (Fox DEFINITELY does), so it'll be beautiful.
OR you can do what I did and search Costco and BJs for Christmas decorations and use them as CPs.
I'm doing this (sorry, lousy pic):
They were under $27 including tax at BJs, and guests should love to take them home.

I think shorty's suggestion is perfect.....simplicity may be the best route. don't worry too much, as a do it yourselfer, sometimes you have to play around with your ideas. It's ok, and give yourself credit- you ARE doing this yourself after all! you put work in to the first one you made, and if you choose a simpler version of it, at least it will be less work to make them all!!

I think that's a great idea! It will look very classy and not 'dollar storish' ar all
Try not to get too upset. You can fix it. The things you bought that don't seem to be working can be returned

i agree with shorty's suggestion---simplicity goes a long way. right now i think what you have in the pic is just waaay too busy. i think you are trying to incorporate too many ideas into that original idea....too many colors, themes, etc going on for my taste.
