Re: Reception Time Dilemma..help
I would do CH from 6:30-7:30. People can leave work early for a wedding, and if they are late, they are only missing CH. I'd rather have fewer people at CH than an empty dance floor at the end of the night.

Honestly I would keep everything the way it is and not do the venetian hour. Probably not the answer you wanted, but I think that if you have a lot of guests that you are reall convinced will leave early, I doubt that 1am will make more of a difference than 1:30.

You can do either no Venetian Hour or start Cocktail hour earlier!
Re: Reception Time Dilemma..help
I would be concerned with people leaving early. Especially on a Friday, if they worked all day people may be tired. The last few weddings my parents have been too had SO many people leave early, they said it was shocking and rude. I mean the important people will stay but if you will be upset if people leave early i would not have it until 1:30. My parents felt if they are paying all this money they want everyone there for as long as possible, not leaving 2 hours early. I think we are going to have ours from 6-11 for this reason.
