I would NOT ask these ladies to be in your BP. If you're really on the fence and don't want to have to make that decision, maybe you can try and talk to the both of them and ask what's up? Voice your concerns, and then see how they respond, and act accordingly.
If you think that not asking them to be in the BP is going to be the end of your friendship, that is a sure sign that they should NOT be in the BP. If they were real friends, they wouldn't stop talking to you over that.

Re: Bridal Party Dilemma
Honestly, at this point do you even care if you say goodbye to their friendships?
They sound like they're busy with their own lives and their own cliquey-ness and you're just an afterthought. That is NEVER how a friendship should be. They dont sound like real friends and only real friends should be in your bridal party.
Unforunatly, friendships break apart all the time. Its not a bad thing, just life. I've always had a problem trying to hold onto toxic friends. I'm trying to eliminate all that from my life now that I'm getting married and moving on.
Before you decide if you want them in your bridal party, first decide if the friendship is even worth saving.
Good luck Kristen!

thanks Colleen, what you wrote is actually completely true. I have a very hard time dealing when I lose friends, and I try to hold on, especially when they have been friends for so long.

Re: Bridal Party Dilemma
These girls obviously don't deserve your friendship. Do you think it's worth it to have them in your bridal party...and therefore in your wedding pictures forever? I had a similar issue and decided AGAINST asking the girls to be bridesmaids, because at this point in my life, I don't need middle school cliquiness which literally brings me back to middle school emotions.

Kristen- what I keep trying to remind myself is that I'm starting a new stage of myself. It's time to start fresh. That means eliminating people that just arent good for you.
I recently 'eliminated' my longest friend (we were friends since we were 14) I'm so glad I didn't ask her to be in the BP, otherwise I'd have to still put up with her!
