Re: Not happy with E-pics. What do I do?

I'm so sorry to hear that your e-pics did not come out the way you wanted. These people do not sound professional at all. You should definitely switch photographers for your wedding, even if it means your lose your deposit. You want to be able to look back at your wedding pictures and remember how wonderful it was and how amazing everything looked. But if the photographer is that bad that he can make something beautiful look terrible, then it's definitely not worth keeping him.

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear you had such a bad experience! That sounds completely unacceptable to me. It's ridiculous that you have to deal with an unprofessional person on top of everything else. I know I would complain, but I'm really not sure what the best route would be. I think they should at least be able to digitally lighten the pictures if they look dark.

It sounds like you have at least 2 obvious, valid complaints . . . The pics are dark and they didn't use the pics you chose. Do you have a receipt stating which ones you requested? Can you ask the woman to let you speak to someone above her? If they won't budge you can always tell them you'll tell everyone on LIW who they are! Good luck, I hope you get some resolution!

ETA: I agree with the above post . . . I would DEFINITELY change photogs before the wedding! This person does not sound like a good photographer at all and I wouldn't risk ruining your wedding day photos. I think it's worth the money loss (but I'd try to fight that since you're so dissatisfied with their work).

OMG thats HORRIBLE!!
I'm so sorry about that.
ITA with the above posters- change photographers. Call the office and tell them straight forward 'listen, FH and I don't like the way our e-pics came out, they are far too dark and I look orange PLUS you printed the wrong picture and you don't want to listen when a customer gives you feedback, I do not want to deal with such rude customer service on the day of my wedding'
I'm sure if you get 'loud' and 'aggressive' with her she might step back a little. OR maybe you can find a direct email to the photographer/husband.
What photographer did you use? (you dont have to say, just wondering, hoping its not mine)..

But yea, I'd totally call and get nasty, get really nasty- tell her, she can keep the deposit, but will NOT get another penny out of you AND you will let all your ENGAGED friends know what a horrible experience you've had with her...

good luck!

ITA - I wouldn't want to risk being unhappy with my wedding pics. Although it stinks, it may be a blessing in disguise that you found this out now! Also you shouldn't have to deal with people being rude, you're paying them!

FIRE THEM!! I fired my photographer and hired a spectacular photographer from out of state. You DONT want to regret having wedding pics that ur not happy with. Go with ur gut and hire a new photographer, just find out what the penalty for canceling the contract is. I lost my $1k deposit but in the end it is worth getting pics i'm going to love!!

ITA also! You want to love your photographs from your wedding and NOT look at them later and wish you had changed photographers. I know that $700 is a lot of money but it seems worth it to not have to deal with the stress of worrying how the pics will turn out. Good luck

Please, do yourself a favor and switch immediately. I know what it's like to be nervous about photos, I was and I decided to lose my $500 deposit and rebook with a different studio.

I am SO GRATEFUL because I absolutely love my photos and the level of service I continue to receive from my photographer is amazing. These are your photos, trust me when I tell you that they will be so, SO precious to you. You will never get your wedding day back. I have spent hours looking at my photos and I am SO, SO happy. Everyone who see's them is floored.

Sorry I'm so long winded about this but I really hope this helps you. I also have video but I wont have that for several months....my photos are all I have until them and they seriously mean the world to me. Photography is SO important.

1) Def voice your compliaints to them

2) GET A NEW PHOTOGRAPHER!!!! if you can find a photographer who is willing to offer free engagement pics before to booking .. i think that would be best for you since you had this scary experience... we were fortunate to have one and now he is going to be our photographer

photography lasts a lifetime and you def want great shots of your special day... photography is def #1 on my wedding list

sorry this happen to you but like we all said... dont stick with them at all!!

I agree with you on that one...your pictures are going to last a lifetime. But before changing photographers I would go to them and explain what issues you are having with the pictures. If they are not willing to compromise a little than imagine how they are going to be if your wedding pictures come out horrible. Cut your loss now before your big day. Good luck sweetie!!
