Do you have an A and B list? Tell dad you'll put him on the B list if anything.

Hmmm if you invited him, do you think he'd actually go? So far everyone from work who I was on the fence about inviting has RSVPed no.

Honestly, since you are inviting other people from work, you may just have to invite him. But, he may not want to come.
I dont think you have to if you dont want him there, but I would just do it just to keep the peace at the office. Plus, he has to get you a gift.

This is really a tough situation. I would say just invite them and you will be so excited that day, you’ll prob not even notice they’re there.

I want them on the Z list.....
no all kidding aside, everyone else is on the A list so it wouldn't make a differnce
I would invite him, and pray he responds no. More than likely, you probably won't notice he's there and just think (and not to sound selfish) its one more gift for you and FH lol.

If you don't mind doing that, then go for it. There's no reason why you should have to invite someone you don't care for. It's not like your Dad is super close with this person either, so it won't cause a problem with friendships or what not.

Since you are inviting other people from work, you may just have to invite him. And if he comes you won't even notice him because you will have so many other people at your wedding, I know how you feel, I have a few people on my list that my parents want and I don't, but my FH keeps saying that we are not going to notice them

QUESTION-
I only work with 12 people... not EVERYONE is invited only the ones I work fairly close with are and the one's I like. Think if I ask them to keep it hush hush at the office that's alright. If I explain I couldn't invite everyone so please don't discuss it with so and so around?
If your not inviting everyone-why would you have to make an exception for this 1 person. I work very closely with 6 girls- 1 who I absolutely Hate!! I am not inviting her but am inviting the other 5. If you dont want to invite this person I wouldnt.

Just to keep the peace Id say invite him. Stick him at the furthest table from you IF he comes and just be cordial. Its your wedding - that person will be the LAST thing on your mind. If it means making your dad happy and not stressing about it anymore just do it. ***** that things sometimes go that way but sometimes we dont have a choice. GL!

Am I having deja vu or have we talked about this before?
Honestly, I'd say just s*ck it up and invite the person. It's not like you have to spend the whole day with them. You go, say your hello and thank you, and ignore them the rest of the time. Who cares what they have to say before/afterwards. You KNOW your wedding will be fabulous no matter what.
But believe me, I know how annoying it is to have to invite people you don't want to and possibly leave other people that you actually want off the list. I'm going through the same thing.

I don't know. If your dad is footing the bill.. I'd probably just invite him to keep the peace.
Seriously. You are gonna be so beautiful and having so much fun that he is absolutely the last thign you are gonna worry about, Shauna.
Don't sweat the small stuff OR the small people, gnome sane? ( Know what I'm sayin' sorry I'm stupid)
But seriously. Do not even worry about this.

Sorry about the quote!!
Even if the person asks your Dad or you about it, very nicely let them know that you mainly kept the guests to family and very close friends due to overwhelming cost (or whatever). In this day and age, with weddings costing what they do, this person should understand. If not, whatever, apparently he's a weirdo anyway.

IMO - If you were inviting everyone from work, then yes, I would invite him. Since you are only inviting a select few, I wouldn't bother.
I do not believe in inviting people just because I should either.
I have a very similar situation and am not inviting everyone from work either.
