It's frustrating but I can understand not wanting to pay that much for a shower, in addition to buying a dress, and giving a gift.... How expensive are their dresses?

How did you hear of this? Can you say something to them or to the MOHs about that being their gift to you guys and tell them not to worry about giving extra as a gift?

In these economic times, I don't want my girls having to pay for my shower.... I know I don't have the money if one of my friends were getting married (luckily, they mostly are already married and I did have to pay for shower, shower gifts, and wedding gift... Maybe that's why I'm broke now!!!)

And another opportunity for me to say weddings make me hate people. I feel the same way about some of the girls in my BP...

I understand that you are upset but I think that it is unfair to be upset at these girls because they don't want to spend that money on the shower. Your wedding is important to you but they have their own things going on as well. They shouls still give something but if they dont want to give $200 that's fine too. JMO
