Awww... in some circles (like, big time etiquette circles) it's rude to send the registry info with the shower invite. So, don't worry... people will call and ask and those throwing the the shower will tell them.

Yeah I would have them go to Michael's and get some cute note card paper or something and print those bad boys up ASAP. I am with you on this one.... if you don't tell people where to shop lord only knows what you would end up with. I love my family but my dad's crazy relatives from Italy... forget it... Venetian lace tablecloths for everyone!

cant you just call the place where you registered and have them mail out cards....that's what macys did for us for our engagement party

jeez - well maybe i am just psycho and maybe my best friend is lol - i had my list when i got engaged and she asked it from me more than a month ago

don't worry you have time as long as they go out begining of sept - i no my mom just wanted to get them out so she knows how many people are coming for favors and crap like that - I have a big guest list though

I'm glad they're all pulling it together!!!

You'll be hearing me make the same complaints about my shower in a few months... my Mom and sister have been battling it out over locations since the day I got engaged. I'm going to start taking bets that FMIL doesn't even come and will send me something not off of my registry that I have no way of returning.

I liked your idea of planning my own damned shower!!! Give me a budget and a check and the whole thing will be fabulous!!!
