Delicious Staten Island restaurant?

Hey Guys:

We just moved out to Staten Island and this is my and FH's first official date night (We have a two year old daughter). We want to do something fun and kinda low key and I was wondering if any of you girls could suggest a delicious restaurant...

What kind of food are you in the mood for?

DH used to live in Staten Island. I don't know SI that well AT ALL, but we used to go to this AAAMMMMMAZING brick oven pizza place on Hyland Blvd or Victory Blvd called Goodfella's. It is incredible.

I swear sometimes we drive from Flushing, Queens to Staten Island just for this pizza - it's that good. It's not fancy or anything, just a nice little brick oven pizza place, but I would highly recommend it if you are ever in the mood.

eta - dunno if I would go there for a date night, but it's great if you want some delicious pizza.

Lento's on New Dorp Lane is good. It's a pizza/italian restaurant. And I don't think it's that expensive. The pizza is paper thin so the 2 of you could definitely eat a whole pie.

East Pan Pacific in the Mall is good. I am not sure about price though.

They opened up a Carraba's and an Outback in the shopping plaza next to the mall.

Let me know if you want any other suggestions.

Carraba's is very commercialized....it was ok , kinda like going to applebees.

For a quick bite though in the future...

.but Brother's is the Best Pizza in Staten Island.!!!!!!!!! look into that but not for formal dining.

More came to mind.
Rocky Toto's..

I was just trying to give her a selection being that I don't know what she wants to spend. I've never even eatten there.

Definitely agree with you on Brother's. FH LOVES their grandma slice. Actually, my brother's friend's family owns that place.

You are right Audreygirl! DH and I llive right down the block from Goodfellas (like a five minute walk) and we went there the other night. Delicious!

I wanted to do something a little different than the usual. Somewhere that we could not take the baby to.

I noticed that Espo was talking abuot a restaurant called Sea in Williamsburg. I used to go there wtih my ex years ago. Now she has put that place back in my brain so I might go there. It has a great vibe.

There is a Goodfellas in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn that is out of this world , same owners I believe. You don't have to go all the way to SI!

De Noi is a great Italian place... there are two locations in SI, and one of them opened recently and is closer to the bridge. I'm moving to SI in a couple weeks! Enjoy!

...dunno anything in SI but your few minutes away to Park Slope Brooklyn(we have restaurant row).

Here are my favorites

Al Dila (pro good food, service and price, con: long wait, no reservation)

Tempo

Bonnie's Grill for really GOOD hamburger and wings

Coccotte - French restaurant

Marias for good authentic Mexican food

hope this help!!

La Candela is good for Spanish food. Da'Noi is good for Italian.
