Ok... my FI Best man told me he wanted to get together with the guys and go in on a gift for my FI and asked me some questions about what I think he would want. He is supposed to bring it to my shower so when my FI comes to pick me up he will have an awesome gift!
Anyway, my brothers are in the wedding and they told me that no one has gotten in touch with them about my FI's gift. I have sent several emails to him and not one response back. There is alot of whispering going on around me lately and that leads me to belive that the shower is soon. Why hasnt this effing guy gotten back to me or my MOH's (who sent him emails as well)
what do I do?

Was this a wedding gift or just a shower type gift for him? If it was a shower gift, I would not approach them about it. None of the GM for my DH gave shower gifts, and it isn't expected. Maybe they thought there were enough expenses with bachelor party, tux rentals, wedding gifts...It's a nice idea, but if they did change their mind I think it is in poor taste to have someone question him about it...Good luck!

thats not like him at all, he is my FI's best friend for 12 yrs, he is giving us $4000 as a wedding present, so money really isnt a problem--- i have had it with people who dont return emails and phone calls, i have an issue with one of my BM, which my MOH has called several times and hasnt returned her phone calls!

and what we decided was $75 each guy would give him a $600 GC to home depot. (Loves his tools)... its not alot to ask for.

Personally, I think if the guy is giving you $4000 as a wedding gift, you should be grateful and let it go. Your FH doesn't know about it, so he won't know the difference.

we decided? jmo, but why are you getting involved in this gift for your FH? either they give it or they don't. i know my dh's groomsmen would have minded the $75 in addition to the other expenses, but only you know their situation. either way, i did not communicate with the groomsmen via email or otherwise. i left it to my dh to coordinate with them, and i know the bm would have freaked if the moh or i had called to tell him to get on the ball. look at it from his pov, maybe he is resenting you bugging him about something nice he had been planning?

i agree. i think it's a little odd that he is so open about what he will be giving as a gift, but it is certainly extremely generous and i wouldn't ask anything else of him, regardless of how well off he is.

he came to me with this and asked for my help, there is nothing wrong with that in my opinion.
and that is why i am involved.
i am just having a bad week, so maybe i am picking on this and its not a big deal.

I agree and if it were a gift from the guys to him then I don't think you should be involved with it other than giving a suggestion of what he might like IF ASKED!
