I am a 4 when they measured me for my dress they said I would be a 6 but I had them order an 8. The sample of my dress that I tried on happened to be a 6 and it was a tiny bit tight.

Street size I wear anything from a 0-4 (depending on the brand).
When they measured me for my gown I was a 'perfect size 4'. All of the samples they had in size 8-10 were HUGE on me. So in my experience, it runs very true to size.

street size i am usually a 0 or XS - sometimes a little larger in the pants depending on who makes them - my measurements are 29 bust 23 waist 33 hips - im really petite.....
my demetrios was ordered in a size 2 (they dont make 0 - or at least didnt when i ordered)
the size 2 was HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE even though it was pretty close to my measurements and the smallest size they make
it seemed like i was wearing at least a size 4 or maybe even a 6 and i think that had a lot to do with my problematic alterations.....
i would say they run big - like 2 is really a 4 their 4 is really a 6 their 6 is really an 8 etc. - at least that is how i felt

I am a street size 4 and I ordered a 6 and I had next no alterations. I think it really depends on the dress style.

I wear a size 8 and the store ordered me a size 10 and when it came in it was about 2-3 sizes too small!! They have sinced ordered and paid for a new dress for me. (It was their mistake) and I still don't have the dress and my wedding is in 3 weeks! So just be careful..make sure the store knows what they are doing..so you don't have to be as stressed as I am...
