Dentist

I never thought to ask on here, but I've seen others ask about doctors...
I just went to the dentist and found out I needed to have a tooth filled. I am afraid to go back to him for a filling because when he did my last filling there were problems with it and it needed to refilled 3 times.
Needless to say I need to find a new dentist and recently moved to Lindenhurst, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a dentist in WESTERN SUFFOLK OR EASTERN NASSAU? Preferably someone who does the white fillings as opposed to the silver ones?

TIA

hey!
i am a soon to be dentist....but i am not living in ny right now since i am in school. that dentist sounds shady...it shouldnt have to be refilled 3 times. also, i can't recommend anyone in LI since i am in ct now...but i am pretty sure any dentist does white fillings. you should definitely go somewhere else. good luck!

Re: Dentist

I have a great dentist, Dr Mark Harris in Babylon village. Quite close to you. He's just north of the Babylon train station on Deer Park Avenue. 669-1077. He's also great because I haven't paid almost anything, he's managed to work his fees around my insurance--I do, admittedly, have pretty good insurance. But give him a call. And he has fish! You can watch Nemo swim around while getting your teeth done.

Dr. Franklyn P. Ianno in Amityville (631) 691-8220. I've been going to see him for at least 20 years and he's amazing and his staff is great!

I don't know about the fillings as I've never had one but my mom said she believes they're white.

Re: Dentist

The porcelin (white) fillings don't last as long, so the reason some dentists shy away from them b/c they crack more easily and you can't expect them to last forever you have to get them re done every so often.
