Ok... so my FH and I want to try to get preggo July '08 and I've been on the shot for over a year and a half (with about 3 months off of it last year)... We are getting married in November. When do you think would be the right time for me to stop the shot?? What's worked for you ladies?

Not to scare you but for some women depo is an evil thing. It can take up to a year just to get you period back never mid ovulating. You should talk to your doctor to see what s/he recommends. Good luck with the wedding and baby making.

Sorry to say this but depo provera is the worst BC. I was on in April and felt sick the entire time. I didn't take a new shot in July because FI and I want to have a baby and I still haven't gotten back to normal yet. I don't even know when I will be back to normal so he and I can start trying after our wedding.

i disagree depo is fantastic i was on it two separate times.. just got off again so i can regulate and ttc... depo gives some people bad reactions but so does all bc
depending on when you want to get preggers id leave at least 6 months for ur body to work it out for me i dont get my period for 3-4 months after getting off of it (per my last time getting off ) but u can get a provera shot to make the period come if you are pushing 6 months or so w/out a period
id def. talk to your doc.. specially if youve had a postive experience like i have... ive lost weight with it, less migraines etc it was teh wonder drug for me
