i just made a dress appt with bridal reflections, and they made me give them my credit card number in case i cancel.. is this the norm?

I think they asked me for mine too...I definitely had to give that info once or twice to make appointments. I thought it was weird but I did it anyway.

Yes, in case you dont show up they charge you 50 dollars. You have 24 hrs to cancel.

I'm not sure what the norm is but that's not what my mother did. She was asked to put down like $800 I think, but she put down $1000 in cash and they never asked for credit card info.

sorry I'm an idiot, I didn't realize this was just for a dress appt. I've never heard of putting down a credit card # for just making an appt.

Now that you are saying that I remember being taken back when I called bridal reflections in Carl Place and they asked me for it

no way! I would never do that. And I didn't have ti do that at Kleinfeld's years ago. Must be new since they're so popular now.
I know paradise doesnt do that. I dunno, that sorta burns me. I wouldn't have gone.
