Deposits are making me cash poor!!

Anyone else going through this? I didn't plan well and wound up paying for a lot of stuff all at once - all cash. I'm BROKE!

Well, I'm broke too but not exactly for the same reason. I have everything in savings and obviously can't touch it. I spaced out my bookings enough so that I didn't really feel the pinch of the deposits... though not necessarily intentionally!

I hear you! I had to back off planning for a bit because it was starting to get me down, VERY down! I've never been one (fortunately) that had to save every penny but things have changed drastically since I got engaged. It can be hard to swallow but everyone keeps telling me it works out in the end, so hang in there. It does make me sick sometimes and then I get worried that the wedding is coming and nothing is done, it is a vicious cycle!!

I am making payments every month and it seems to be working. I leave money in the bank and make the payments. Maybe some of your vendors can work this out with you.

Yep I did all my deposits last Fall.. (Aug through Sept) and it nearly killed me. But now I have little payments which makes things a bit easier.. but still.. OW!

First off we're paying for 98% of the wedding ourselves and we've been doing it ALL in cash! We haven't charged 1 cent and we don't plan to, so I hear ya BIG time!!
