I am flying into NY tomorrow and starting to look at and meet with vendors. Just curious as to how much I am looking at spending this weekend...how much can I look at spending on deposits of:
1. DJ
2. Floral
3. Photographers/Video
4. Limos
You know..all that good stuff, just needing to know what they generally need to secure your date...THANKS LADIES!!!

Figure somewhere between 10% and 20% per vendor. In some cases it will be less, but since you're coming from out of town and you want to be covered that would be a safe bet.

I think it depends on the individual vendor. I gave my photographer $500 and my package without all the extras is costing me $6000. Thats what he wanted and I to give half the full amount 1 month before the wedding.

I gavee a 10% deposit to my photograher, videographer, and florist.
Have you selected them already? Maybe you can call them so you can have the right amount ready.

I gave $50 to dj, $1000 for video/photo, and $100 for officiant - HTH!

I start hyperventilating when I add this all up, but hey, thats what weddings are for
I haven't selected any just yet, I have some appointments this week and weekend. I'll go from there.....Dropping all of this money before christmas is depressing me though

I gave 200 for Florist 250 for Limo (I think) 200 for Video 600 for Photo
I think thats what we gave but I'd have to look it up. Generally, this is what it was

Most vendors seemed pretty flexible, I don't think any are so rigid they wouldn't accept a counteroffer.
