Deseversky Mansion

Hi Ladies,
I have only been on here for a few weeks and I feel like I am starting to get addicted. I haven't posted much so I figured I should just jump in. I was engaged December 7, 2003 and am getting married October 15, 2005 at the Deseversky Mansion in Old Westbury. My family and fiance went this past weekend to take a tour and we booked and put a deposit down. We went to a Valentine's brunch there last month to try the food and we were blown away. Everything was so fresh and tasted fantastic. I was trying so hard to stay on my wedding diet and when I got to the table with cakes and pastries made by the pastry chefs, I gave in :) So I am really excited that I am finally booked and have my date. Now have any of you been to a wedding there or an event? What did you think? Thanks!

Re: Deseversky Mansion

Hi Belle!
From what people tell me it is not very well known. It is actually on the campus of NYIT (New York Institute of Technology) and the food is prepared by the chefs and culinary students. It is located off Northern Blvd. in Old Westbury. When you drive in you feel like you are upstate there are so many trees and winding roads. It is breathtaking! They host different monthly events like brunches and special dinners for wine tasting and cool things like that. We went last month for a Valentine's Day brunch and we are going next month for Easter lunch. Boy we can't get enough of this place...haha. The dining room manager Pilar was so nice and extremely helpful. She made us feel right at home. What is great about this place is they only host one wedding a day and no one else is allowed on the premises. For instance they won't show the house to anyone while your wedding is going on. Also the outside is beautiful. The picture of the trees I uploaded will be emerald green in the fall and form a canopy. I am picturing a fabulous black and white photo with the trees colorized. Oh I can't wait!!!

I ran an event at DeSeversky last year for work for approx. 100 people. The place was beautiful, the staff was excellent and the desserts were incredible. Nice ambiance and a beautiful setting! I love the windy wooded driveway. Nice choice!!
