Designing invitations from scratch

Hi girls - I'm thinking of designing my invitations/STDs etc from scratch. I do these little abstract doodle things that may look cool as a design. But I'm afraid it might look dumb.

I should probably at least try it and see how it looks before I decide it's dumb, right??

And I can always run it past you ladies for advice!

yes def try it out!! I make my own greeting cards sometimes for fun so if you need any help or advice let me know. (I know you are a crafty gal so I am sure you have it under control, but just in case )

Definitely try it, especially since you have so much time! I am not an artist but i found brushes someone else made online and used them on my invitations. So all i had to do was figure out where to put the text on my invite. I had a lot of fun doing it!

It saves you money too. I think we will spend about $100 total on invites, rsvps, direction cards, and thank yous. 50 of each
