Desperate need of hair and make up help

Hi ladies- I don't post often but I am starting to freak! I put off finding hair and make up until I finished finding all my other vendors. I have never had either done and don't have a regular hairdresser I go to.

I am rather disgusted at the price of some of places I have called. I just want to keep it simple and look natural since I don't wear a lot of make up to begin with. If anyone can reccommend someone who does both hair and make up and does decent work and is reasonably priced in western suffolk I would be so greatful.

Try Khoulouds, they are in Hicksville and i think also Dix Hills. Kasey for make-up and Rosemarie for hair. They are really great

I am using Anna from Salon On Main in Sayville. She is great.

My friend's sister actually had one of the girls at Mac do her make-up, she went to the store and spoke to one of them- they did a trial for **FREE** and then she went to her house & even met her at the reception hall later for a touch-up- a lot of the girls at Mac work independently- so they are less expensive and more flexible.

OMG you sound like 3 months ago, Hair and Make-up I waited till last figuring I would go to a salon in town (past friends have gone there) so I decided to price some places and was astonished at the prices!!! Then I started to price the peeps that come to your house and thought my gosh the salon is cheap!!! I talked to mom and the BP and we decided to have someone come to the house, I had one trial which was horendous!!! Then I went to Mia At BridalLounge! She is awesome and I booked her on the spot. I figure I didn't waste money on a bunch of trials. She listens to what you like, don't like and fixes everysingle strand of hair I wanted fixed. She is such a sweet woman. I highly rec her!

you are getting married two weeks after me and i still don't have a make-up person, and my trial isn't till july 6th. you have plenty of time!

Thanks so much for these recommendations. For me it's also just about finding the time to make the calls and the appointments. So hard for me to make calls at work and I don't want people think I am planning my wedding at work (don't I wish--if that was the case, I would be done by now! ) ok back to work.. thanks again!
