Sorry if I ramble here....I just got a phone call from my sister (who is one of only 3 bm's in my wedding) telling me she is 5 weeks pregnant! If you've read previous posts that I have here you will already know that she and I dont really get along very well....she is one of my BM's b/c my parents asked me to put her in it. She has been of NO help to my MOH OR our mother with planning things for my wedding. Another catch here is I am getting all the dresses made.....who knows what size she will be in 4 months???!!?! I can't wait until the last minute for her dress! What do I do? Do I keep her in or drop her? She doesnt even care whichever way.....Please help me out here.....TIA!

Re: Desperately need help here!
I personally would keep her in. And just have them estimate size and have the dress made bigger, they can aways take it in at the last minute. That's what we did with one of my bridesmaids that is pregnant. But that's just what i woud do, I don't know your relationship with ur sister. I don't know if that helped but, Good luck!

i would now drop her because you have a reason, since it sounds like you don't want her in it anyway. Just tell your parents that you and her decided that with her pregnancy, it might be too much for her. But if you think it is going to cause too much of a huge rift, plenty of pregnant girls are BMs

If you want to keep her in, don't let the dress thing stop you - just have whoever is making them set aside extra fabric that could be added in if necessary - dress designers do that all the time and it works out fine. Plus, your wedding is just 4 months away - she might not be showing that much by then (depending on her body type).
If there are other issues between you and you think this is just one more thing to add fuel to the fire, that's a different story and I think if she doesn't care either way, you could take her out if you think it would make things easier for you on your big day.

Re: Desperately need help here!
Not to be Devil's advocate here but.. I have two sisters, both of whom I have been MOH for at their weddings and neither of which I am especially close with. I did invite both of them to be in my wedding and after much debate and heartache, neither of them are.
That being said... she is your sister. Maybe you are not close now, maybe you never were, maybe you never will be. But she is still your sister. Don't let a dress be an excuse.

Well I've always said you can pick your friends, but not your family. It's really up to you, but does she really want out of it? If she doesn't care about being in your wedding then why have the hassle.
I wish you luck on your decision.

Keep her in. Order the dress a few sizes bigger and she'll be fine. She'll only be 5 months preggers by the wedding, so she won't be huge!
It'll be fine. Ask the dress shop what they recommend. It'll be okay!
I think it's up to HER whether or not she still wants to be in your wedding. I wouldn't drop her b/c of a dress.
