Desperately Need To Vent!

Desperately Need To Vent!

Let me start by saying that I am pretty laid back person with an extremely long fuse BUT I have just about had it with my MOH!!!

She has been my best friend since 8th grade and I only saw it fitting that I ask her to be my MOH not to mention that before I even got engaged she said 'I'm going to be your MOH, right?'

She lives currently lives out of state with her FH (no date has been set yet for them). Anyway, since I got engaged she has been pretty much 'whatever' about it and at one point even sent me an email (not a phone call an effin email) saying that she wouldn't be mad if I chose someone that could be more useful to me as my MOH. I said no of course not your my BF and the BM's can just pitch in when you can't...no biggie.

When I sent an email to the BM's telling them we booked a hall and sent the website she emailed back saying...you're really going all out for this. No congrats, no the place is really nice, nothing, nada!

When I sent the BM's an email enthusiastically telling them I booked a band, she sent back a sarcastic email saying 'I wouldn't be caught dead seeing a band from Bensonhurst.' Nice right?

I planned on even having all the BM's go look at dresses the weekend she will be in town in May which is much earlier than I would have liked. Originally she told me ok but the weekend may be tight for her.

Sooo today I sent her an email saying that I know she will be back in NY in July and we can hold off until then bc I would actually like all the BM's to meet and have a lunch for them they day before we look for dresses. She emails me back saying 'I don't know when or if I will be back in July so just go in May and send me a pic of the dress and I will order it on my own. I don't need to meet all the girls. I have a lot of people to see when I am in NY in May and won't have the time.'

I am super hurt right now and am not calling simply out of fear of what I will say. I don't want to say something I might regret later.
Maybe I am bring a Bridezilla but I just can't help feeling hurt.

UGH!!!

Thanks for listening!

I am so sorry she hurt your feelings. Maybe you just need to tell her flat out that she is being a bit selfish here. The way I see it you are trying to get all your girlies together for 1 day - ONE DAY! How hard can it be for her to see that you are working around HER schedule???

Want me to call her? I am real good at putting people in their place! hmf I think I am getting even madder sitting here!!

It stinks when u see the true side to ur freinds. Im sorry ur hurt but at least now u can distinguish who true and not...Hun, Not to sound mean or anything but at this pint the way she is acting u could just ask if she would rather be a guyst and not have to do any of the planning and running around. It sound like tome that she is kinda jelous rather than happy for u and u dont really need that. I migh tbe wrong but thats what i gathered.
Anyway i wish u luck but in my life i learned to weed out all the bad seeds.

Hun this *****, but I think she seems to be going out of her way to let you know she's no longer interested. You don't need this now. I would consider dropping her and find someone who will really be there for you.

That is not being a Bridezilla IMO. I would feel the same way! I totally believe that your MOH should be honest with you in some opinions but I mean like should we 'blue or pink' not comments like she did make. Maybe she's jealous that you have begun the process and she hasn't started yet? I would have a talk with her and tell her that is upset you. I don't think she means it in a hurtful way but you should really voice your opinion b/c it is YOUR special time and you shouldn't have to have this as an extra worry!

Wishing you the best!!

You're not being a bridezilla so don't worry about that...Maybe she has some issues going on like jealousy...you said her and FH has not set a date or maybe she is wroried about her finances try to talk it out with her.

You are not being a bridezilla at all. unfortunately weddings bring out the worse side in people. The people that you woudl think is jumping for joy for you is the same ones that doesnt care. I would talk to her and explain the things she is saying that is bothering you and tell her its ok if she doesnt want to be in the wedding.

I see the green monster lurking!

If she is engaged and they havent set a date I think her actions are out of jealousy-at least partly.
I would just ask her flat out-do you want to be my MOH b/c your attitude to be quite honest about it is $hitty.....point blank-place it on her
