Desperately need your help (MOB)

My mom is significantly overweight (wears size 26). Does anyone know of any store that carries clothing dressy enough for a wedding for her?

It would likely be easier for her to get a pants suit, but I have no idea how to help her (Lane Bryant and Avenue have absolutely nothing). Has anyone else had similar issues?

Any suggestions are appreciated (we just really want her to be able to try something on without having to buy a non-retunable item having no clue as to how it looks on her).

You could try Jen Wear Plus in Port Jeff.

did she try catherine's? there's one in carle place and one at tanger, and they do free shipping to store and in-store returns.

Thank you, ladies! Keep the suggestions coming :) We're not on LI, so all of your recommendations are new to me; I'll travel anywhere for her.

Queen of Hearts in North Merrick, or Turnberry Lady in Bellmore. Also she can go to Estelle's in Farmingdale, which is a bit stressful but they do have a ton of sizes and selection. If you are comfy ordering online, igigi.com and onestopplus.com offer larger sizes.

Good luck!

I'm so happy to know that these places exist. I was having no luck finding even one store in Brooklyn/Staten Island.

i second SugarPlums my mom got her dress there (size 24) they are the nicest shop. on the other hand Queen of Hearts while carrying big sizes is not worth it to me. the owner is so very nasty and rude and wont listen to what the customer is asking for. that shop was a waste of our time.

This website seems to list online stores which sell plus size formal wear up to the requested size. I imagine each site allows for returns.
