Who pays if you are taking the bride on a destination bachelorette party? Does the bride pay for portions of it herself? We are planning on taking my friend to South Beach but there are only 4 of us including the bride - I think it'll be hard for us to pay for her whole trip - please help!

idk what the etiquette is, but i would never allow my BP to pay for my accommodations on a trip like that. the night out once we're there, sure, but not the whole thing.

I don't know either. My MOH is planning a trip to Vegas. She has a timeshare so that shouldn't cost anything for anyone. I plan on paying for my flight. I would assume that there would be one night out where I would be treated (although I don't need to have that happen) but I would pay my own way for everything else.

I was wondering about that too.. I don't need the destination party.. but my sis/MOH said that was the latest plan and I think my mom/aunts are responsible for the idea....

I think it all depends on whose idea it was. If it was the bride's idea to go away, then I think she could pick up certain expenses for herself. Like maybe airfare and hotel (depending on how many days you are going)...you could pay for dinner and entertainment. If it wasn't her idea...then maybe you could pay for either airfare or hotel for her.

normally the bp does pay for the trip...I didnt feel comfortable with this since we were going to vegas so i booked a suite myself and paid for the suite by myself.

I went twice to south beach and we all paid for ourselves. For mine we are going to vegas and I will pay for myself. She should not expect you to pay for her, thats too much money. You can pay for one of her nights out or by her drinks.

I think the bride should pay, at least for her flight herself. Splitting the hotel room is totally appropriate too but definitely pick up her drinks, entrance to clubs and if you go out to a dinner.

my thought on this is it would depend on who exactly 'wants' the destination.
if it's the bride - she should be responsible for her portion to 'get there' and once there - all things would be paid by the BP.
if it's the BP - and the bride is not involved at ALL...then they need to pay for it...or at least discuss the options/ideas with the bride.

i didn't let my girls pay for my share of the trip...they treated me to dinner one night...we went to hotel hershey and did a 2 night spa package
