Destination Wedding

I need some help!!! My FH and I just bought a house..We were getting married at Lombardi’s on the Sound in Port Jeff, but now because we bought the house we need to have a less expensive wedding.

I tried to find a place for a destination wedding and it has been hard...all the hotels have a link about weddings, but what do you really get????

Anyone have or go to a destination wedding...where? How much did it cost? Did the guest pay for themselves in 'the package price' and if so how much do we have to pay??

Radisson Cable Beach Resort gave me a quote of $8000 for a wedding for 50 guests. That included flowers, hair and makeup, a 4hr reception with a steel drum band, open bar, photos, cake, almost everything....I wanted to do this soooo bad. But my FH is the bride, haha, he wanted a big wedding with his friends all there and in the bridal party.

This resort is in the bahamas, near Nassau.

Good luck!!!

I am actually leaving next Friday for Jamaica for my friends destination wedding. She is having at the Ritz Carlton in Montego Bay. I can post a review when I get back, but from what I heard it is outstanding.

If you don't mind me asking...how much are you paying as a guest..does it include air, room and all inclusive?

Well, to be honest it is expensive as hell IMO, but we are talking about the Ritz Carlton here. She got an all-inclusive deal from them because she has about 50 people coming. The total is around $2500 a couple and that includes everything, but it's only from Friday - Monday

Sorry, maybe I am mixing the question. I am the guest, it's my friend that is having the wedding. I am not sure how much she paid for everything, but as a guest I paid as stated above.

I am still learning how to use this site, but that last reply was to:
