Hi everyone, I am new, just wanted to pop in and say hi..I am Jen and my fiance and I got engaged recently! We are now looking forward to planning a 2011 wedding!!
Wondering if anyone has ideas for destination weddings, we were thinking of somewhere in the Caribbean - anyone know?

lots of resorts actually have packages if you stay w them. are you planning to have a whole family wedding on an island?
and btw i love your pic! my cat used to do that too!

hi! yes, we were tihnking of a destination wedding purely due to financial reasons..FH and I are recent grads, we still want to buy a house...and lots of plans but a destination wedding is appealing so we could roll the HM into it. We would want our families/friends there... I'm just not sure what resorts are good? I was watching a wedding show and saw that Disney also has wedding packages..im just not sure how $$ they would be...
oh and thank you., thats my cat tomato! hes a terror!! (that also explains my sn)...FH brought him home one day as a birthday gift!

heyyy sorry to crash....
but my sister had her wedding in aruba at the marriott rennassiance hotel-- they have there own private island where she had her ceremony/reception it was realllly nice & not super expensive!!! And the food was AMAZINGGGG (me and my other sister were doubting that the food was going to be good- but we were soooo wrong) i have some pics if u want to see fm me & i will send them and feel free to ask any questions.
ohh and i know they also have a destination wedding forum that she was always on & got alot of good ideas from I can find that out for u also

Get married in St. Thomas I just recently went there we went to a beach where they have a beautiful Best Western and they do weddings there!!!!

Hi, first off welcome and congrats!!!
my FH and I were originally planning to do a destination wedding at first. I got engaged in Disney, so the second after it was official, I called up Disney Weddings and got information on their packages. It was a little out of our budget, but here's the link
I actually have two friends who are planning destiantion weddings next year.....One is in Cancun, Mexico at Le Blanc Resort and other is Dreams Resort in Punta Cana :)

funny this should come up today. FH and I are now thinking of a destination wedding this winter. The main reason is financially what we are spending on this wedding could be more down payment on a house. We're not sure where we are thinking of , but if RaeloveMeg could send me info/pics on the weddings in aruba and the private island in aruba that would be awesome!

I am going to a destination wedding July 2nd in the DR.. Its at the paradisus punta cana.. The resort is amazing and so far the couples loved working with the resort.. I can let you know in July how it was, but I know Punta Cana has so many awesome resorts, def check them out!

Welcome and congratulations!!! I don't know too much about destination weddings but a friend of mine's brother got married in Barbados and everyone had a blast! I saw the pics and they were beautiful!!! HTH
