DH 30th bday- should I?

DH 30th bday- should I?

I want to surprise my wonderful hubby for his 30th bday in April. What do you think is better, a surprise dinner w. friends at a restaurant, or having a surprise party at my house? Neither would be more than 20 people, as I know DH will be overwhelmed by more than that... Party at the house is more intimate, but a nice dinner is more formal for his 30th. I cannot choose, and need to get moving on this soon to get invites out

I threw my Dh a 30th B-day party at my place. This was before we were married.

I had about 20 people. I cooked a nice dinner, We had a really nice time.

He still talks about it.

What do you think he will like better? is he more of a going out person or does he prefer cozy evenings at home?

I didn't vote because it's hard to give opinion about parry preferences for someone I know nothing about but one thing that is a plus with the at home party is that you are more in control of the event...

great idea eather way!

my DH 30th is coming up as well and he already requested a party, ao there will eb no surprise there

Want to laugh... my FH wants me to rent out McDonalds for him! LOL.

I would do a dinner at home.

Well, he SAYS he does not want a big deal made out of it, but I cannot let him get away w. that He is the youngest of 5 kids, and never really had a big fuss made over him for his b-day, so I want to make this one really special.

I think he will like either- he likes to entertain at home, and he likes to go out. The only problem w. a dinner is that he will have to drive home after-there is no way to avoid this as his car is a stickshift and I cannot drive one. At a house party, he can come home and relax. It would be way more informal, and I can invite more people. But I could not pull of the surprise, b.c he would see all the cars in our driveway. Ugh, I cannot decide

Then I would say doing it at home is the way to go!

I feel you pain; my DH drive a stick shift as well... the real men's car! In the meantime, i can't even use it...

would it be possible to find parking around the block? too complicated?
