DH is in a wedding in Columbus OH this weekend...

So we are flying in on Friday for the RD, wedding Saturday, day after brunch Sunday, then home. Phew! Lots of craziness in just a few days. I'm a little nervous because it's DH's best friend from like elementary school and I've met him the day of my wedding (he was a groomsman) and once after. I literally know NO ONE at this wedding except the bride and groom, and my husband who are all going to be occupied. I'm going to be alone all day of the wedding because they are having a groom/sman breakfast at 9:30 am, followed by pictures all day. Basically I meet them at the church at like 6 pm. So when I booked the trip we had some money and I made appointments for me to go to a spa and get a massage, a mani pedi, and get my hair done for the wedding. It would basically pamper and occupy me on the wedding day while he is gone all day. Fast forward to now when DH is out of work. Thank God I booked the flights and hotel when we had the money or I would have had to ask my or his parents to help us pay for this trip. Of course I don't have the money for the massage, super spa mani/pedi and all....I just feel like shitt. I know some people do really well alone, but I'm a people person and being alone in a new city is not super duper fun for me. Exploring alone is not my idea of a great time. So now I'm gonna cancel the massage, and possibly the spa mani/pedi, and find a cheap nail salon. I SUCKK at hair so I'm keeping the styling appointment. I guess I'm just bummed and down, and so stressed from DH being out of work and us being sick broke. Thanks for listening to this rambling asss vent that I am now realizing I wrote.

Sorry to hear you're down DH was in a wedding once where I didn't know anyone but the B & G and him. It was really weird for me while they were taking photos throughout CH and I was trying to socialize with the B & G's family members who I never met But it'll go fast and once DH is done with all his BP duties you guys will have a great time together!! Hope you enjoy your weekend in Columbus!

Awwww that is stinky!! I agree with Dana! Bring your laptop with you, take a nap so you are ready to party, get your hair done......hopefully the day goes fast for you and you have great time at the wedding!

Instead of going for a full blown massage ask the spa what it costs to just utilize their steam room. After sitting in there for a while and taking advantage of all the toiletries you will feel like a million bucks and ready to PAAAAAARTY

I went to your wedding knowing ONLY the bride and groom and I ended up having a blast and talked to lots of people!! it was soooo much fun!! kinda like that movie.. wedding crashers!! hahahaha!!!

Aw...Ive been to quite a few weddings where I had to sit by myself. I just learned to sit with other lonely people, haha...and they usually start up conversations. Try to enjoy yourself
