DH just said something that almost made me pass out

He's been doing all kinds of work on his little race car, and I've been getting annoyed because his clean clothes are piled on the couch waiting to be folded (hellll no I don't fold his clothes! ) plus there are a TON of dirty dishes that have been sitting in the sink for a few days (I cook, he does dishes). I've kept my mouth shut though (for the most part ) because I was waiting to see if he would get this crap done before I caved and did it myself.

Well, he finally got the stuff with his car worked out, so he went downstairs and did the dishes. So then he just comes up here and says, 'I'm so glad that the car is taken care of and I can go back to doing the dishes and folding laundry. I hate seeing the house such a mess! One of my friends stopped by today and I was embarrassed at how dirty the kitchen was'

DH is the BIGGEST piggie, and usually could care LESS if the house is messy, so this comment totally floored me

I would have fallen on the floor if Tom ever said that when people came over!!

It's simple; all you have to do is say, 'dirty socks on floor = you make your own dinner' Unfortunately this will only work if you're a really good cook and your FH isn't

Thats great!!
My DH likes his socks to decorate the floor and he loves to let the toothpaste get 'dry' from not covering it

WOW - FH could care less if his space is a bit messy (he isnt a slob, but not totally neat). All I ask from him is that he cleans up after himself!

Good for you for training your man right! haha
