DH's Nana isn't doing so hot

My DH's Nana is having her 5th battle with cancer. This time it started in her sinus and now she has the huge tumor in her cheek which from a previous surgery they have removed her upper jaw and now she's gotten a feeding tube. She doesn't want to proceed with anymore surgeries (she's 80 yrs old). She can't have any more cemo or radiation because she has so much in her life already. We are going to see her at the hospital or home on Sunday(depending if she's released yet). My DH's Nana is such a sweet women. Its such a sad situation for my DH's family.

What can we bring for her? She has everything you could think of and she loves to eat, but obviously can't do that now. Any ideas? I would love to get Merry Maids to come to the house and clean it (since she lives with my MIL & my DH's Aunt) but how much do they cost? They are all so stressed with this plus my MIL has had a broken foot for over a month to add to this. I would love to do something for all 3 of them.

As for merry maids - try the Home board search - I've seen this pop up there a few times, but I don't remember any cost!

Spoke with DH, he doesn't want to do the merry maid thing. He does feel like his aunt will be insulted. Back to the drawing board.

maybe there is something else you can do with the idea of making the home more comfortable. would she watch a DVD?

I like the DVD idea.

What about making them a collage or photo albums of family pictures. That is always a good idea.
