Diamond Studs: Can Anyone help with my impossible dream?
I desperately want a pair of diamond stud earrings...I have been wanting them for years.
Does anyone know where I can get diamond studs that are of good quality and are at least a carat, but not too expensive? (Am I in la-la land?)
Anyone buy diamond studs from Ebay?

My sister has bought really nice studs at Helzberg Jewelers (i believe they have a Roosevelt Field location), but she's never been able to afford anything over 1/4 carat!

No, at least a carat with even decent quality brings you into the thousand number...

Do you mean a carat for each ear or a carat total weight. If total weight, try Macy's during either Mother's day, Right around X-mass, aright after New Years when they have 'inventory', or Valentines Day sales. Get a coupon and find a friend that works there. You should be able to get them. I am not sure about the quality, but they should be graded.

FH bought me 1ct. total weight, Certified F color, VS2 clarity for $1,500 at Tri-County, but I won't be getting them till my b-day next month.

I wouldn't go the ebay route..we almost did that when dh was getting me my earrings, but its just so iffy, you have no idea what you are really getting until after you paid. One thing we did do, was check out some of the users on EBAY that had stores...then checked to see if any were bny us, DH got an awesome deal this way and saved a TON of money on the 4ct (total) ones he got me.

Yeah they are on my wish list too! I actually put in some fake ones I had the other day and they didn't look half bad...but yeah I am with you. GOod Luck!!!!
