Question about wedding bands...for those who bought diamond bands, do the diamonds match the quality of diamonds in your engagement ring? Also if you have a platinum engagement ring are you buying a platinum band or white gold?
The reason why I'm asking is that I have a platinum e-ring, but we can't afford a platinum band.

Yes my diamonds match the color/quality somewhat. I believe they are 1 letter away (e.g., one is a G other is an H/I)...I think you will be OK if you get a 14K gold band. HTH!

I have a white gold engagement ring, but my mother has a vintage platinum ring that we are hoping to turn into my wedding band. As long as you put them together and they look fine, who cares?

I have a prong setting 18k ering and will probably get the same wedding band but I hate matching wedding bands!!! Found a few diamond bands that are wide with inset diamond...now I just have to pick which one I like best.
I don't think that matching is necessarybas long as the combination looks good together :)

I have to agree with the girls. I don't think it matters as long as you like it! I think its hard to match. I'm not sure if mine are the same and don't really care. My thing was to make sure the rings looked good together and alone and it does!

I don't think you're supposed to put two different types of metal against each other as they can wear each other out if they rub against each other. Especially if you have a band with prongs and diamonds, and the other is flat, they will bore into each other over time.
I think if they are two flat bands, the wearing away should be so minimal you can't notice it.

My diamonds match in both rings and we got all the rings in white gold bc platinum is too much!

i wear mine separately (on different hands) so even though my ering is platinum my wedding band is white gold
honestly, you cant even tell the difference IMO
the diamond quality is similar but my ering is slightly better quality that the quality of the diamonds in my eternity band
