DIAMONDS!

Anyone know of any good jewelers to buy a stone from? My MOH is looking to get engaged and wants to steer her BF in the right direction!

Also, feel free to bad mouth any jewelers you had a bad experience with!

we used milligree on 47th in the diamond district we have had no problems and i already got my wedding band, which they custom made.

FH got my ring from Major Jewelers. he said they were extremely helpful. He went back a couple times before he actually bought it and they were helpful every time. We even bought our wedding rings there too.

He also said he went to Zales and they are very friendly but some of the things they advertise are not really true. ie: They say that they will replace your stone if it is ever lost as long as you have it inspected by them every 6 mo. Sounds great right?? Well when he got down there, they told him its only side stones, not your center stone. That makes a big difference!

We used Diamond Jewelers in Centereach. Nicole the store manager was great to work with.

We went to Kristin's (it's a little store in the Bayshore mall) Everyone there is incredibly friendly and all of their settings are one of a kind.

Once you pick a setting, all you have to do is tell them what kind of stone (the 4 c's ) that you want and they'll find it.

I highly highly recommend them if your MOH is looking for something different ( and not to expensive either!!)

My FH used Good Old Gold in Massapequa. The name is cheesy, but don't let that fool you. They were so nice (family owned) and I think they are one of the largest dealers in the area. They have a lot of fancy equipment and they spent HOURS with him teaching him all about diamonds...all before asking him how much he wanted to spend. Some places you walk in and they ask your budget immediately. They were also very patient.

We used David S. Jewelers in the diamond district. I really trusted them and they work with your budget.

Good Old Gold in Massapequa on Sunrise Hwy (in the Barnes and Noble shop ctr). They are a fam-owned jeweler and great people!!! The best, best, best!!!
