FH and I decided that getting having him wear a white tie/vest/shirt will make him look very pale. So, he looked better in a platinum color - anyone else feel this way?
I see lots of pics with the groom in white - not sure if it's *supposed* to be this way...
The GM will be in a long tie that exactly matches BM dresses and a black vest, black tux.

Yea, my FH is getting white vest and tie, I think it really depends on his coloring. my FH has the dark hair and skin tone as the guy above.

My FH is wearing ivory, ivory, ivory to match my dress.
I think the platinum will look nice. Did he try it on yet?

I don't want my FI to wear white for the same reason. He'll probably wear platinum, and the GM's will wear black.

If your FH looked better in the platinum then I would go with the platinum. It's not a 'rule' for the groom to wear white like the bride.
Personally, my DH is Italian and Portuguese, so he has VERY dark skin and the ivory 'worked' in our instance. Go with what you like!

I think either is fine...at first DH was going to wear platinum but at the last minute we changed it to white, I was glad but I think both work...
I think either are fine too, and whatever you guys like works :)
We chose ivory, on ivory on ivory because DH wanted to match me and when he tried it on, he loved the look.

It did not wash him out, but I have seen pictures from other people and thought to myself that it wasn't a good look on some guys so I say try it and if you don't think it looks right then don't do it. It's not a must. You can always do traditional black and white.
Nope Im glad he did white! He matched ME!!!! and it looks good- IMO platinum is more for the GM. thats what ours wore. I will try to send a pic. He screams wedding all the way in white!!!
I'm not worried about FI wearing a white tie and vest. He works outside and so he always has a rosey-ness to his cheeks. But my cousin who is hiney white did look washed out so I think it really depends on his skin type.
