Not to our hall, payments are due every 3 months, but we have made extra payments to most of our vendors. Trying to pay everything down little by little, so we are not totally strapped 2 weeks before the wedding.

yep - I tossed them quite a bit of money last year when I got a bonus - just so my payments this year wouldn't be unmanageable.

We paid all of our hall already minus $1000. We only owe more if we are over our minimum. I did not want to have any big payments so close to the wedding.

Yes I paid the hall quite a few payments more than were expected.

when i did make the payments that were scheduled i made them out for more then they asked so in the end it would not be a huge chunck of $$$$$ to pay

our hall requires payment 1 month prior to event, but we are making payments every few months.

We were not required to make payments. But he encouraged us to make payments regularly so we can form a bond and friendship, which I thought was a 'gimmick' but he said, we have couples who book 2 years in advance then a month before the wedding they come in with a lump sum and we don't know who they are 'personally' we just know they are one of our couples. That made sense to me and now we love Tony and Max, they are absolutely awesome. They were so friendly to my mom, (she's partially paralyzed on her left side due to a stroke) and they made her feel so welcome that it brought tears to my eyes. I can not explain how happy we are that we chose our hall. They have been nothing but FANTASTIC!!!!

We didn't have to pay anything till a few weeks before the hall. But I been making reg. payments and paid of almost all of it.

according to our contract, we don't owe them any $$ until about a month before the wedding. but, our bm, who is awesome, told us if we want to make payments every so often we can. just have to bring contract so they can keep track. we haven't done this, but it was nice to know.

I paid when the bills came but other than that, I left the money in our ING account to earn more interest.

I know my parents made a payment about 2 weeks after the 1st one... I say if you have the money, do it.. it will help later on when other payments come rolling in..
