I'm just curious, because my cousin and friend orginally said they were coming, now with a little over two weeks left on my RSVP date, I haven't heard from them. I have a strong feeling they aren't coming.

we had several no-shows, both without warning. one was a guest who was stuck in the airport (bad weather), and another well, I had my suspicions about earlier....
my cousins family (in the midwest) did not reply to the invitation...... I had to email them over a month after the RSVP, and they said only my cousin would come. At the very last moment, he sent an email cancelling. I only received it after the wedding.
it's fine. stuff happens, and some people can't get their cr@p together. I'm only miffed that my cousin never even sent us a card.

We just had 2 relatives call last night and now say they can't make it because one of them hast to have surgery. So totally understandable. They are really old and they felt really bad about it.

Unfortunately we had about 4 of DH's friends from Seattle say they were coming...then about 2 weeks before the wedding they all called or e-mailed to say they couldn't make it...all were legitimate reasons like parents diagnosed with cancer, surgery, financial problems, etc...i just felt so bad for DH cause he was so excited they had originally sadi Yes.

Yes, there were relatives coming from Canada that said they would be there and never showed up!! Not real sure the reason why though...yet. But we a a few people that RSVP and ending up not showing. Not to be mean but I really don't care, b/c I had a great time anyways!!
