The new ABC drama show ' What about Brian?'? My best friend who's about to get married in the fall just called me in tears after wacthing this show. She's scared that she and her future husband will end up like the show's 13 year married couple who were considering having an open marriage. Any thoughs on this ? and the show in general?

I saw the show & I hate to say I thought it was fairly realistic w/ the way people feel & how it is being a mom & such (I'm not a mom but in the mid-30's & all my friends are/have been married for years).
For your friend, what would make her say she thinks they'll be considering an open marriage?! Personally if she feels that way, that is something she needs to discuss w/ her guy. What would make her say something like that though? Are they not happy? Is their marriage getting 'boring/comfortable' now? There are so many things they could do w/o having an 'Open marriage' to change things up & revive their marriage.

As you said the show was very realitic and it just made my friend wonder if that would be her and her future husband years from now. From what my friend tells me she has a good relationship with her future husband and can't even imagen having an open marriage. She and her future husband want to have kids rigth away( they are both only childs) She is now questioing weather to wait or not. Funny thing is that other married couple have advise them to wait and my friend hasn't even second guess this till she saw this show.
