Did anybody come in under their minimum?

I'm getting married at jericho terrace and we have to guarantee 150 people, however this is looking unlikely. I think we may end up with about 130.

Did this happen to anyone else? Did your venue throw in anything? I know we still have to pay regardless but it'll be like $2500 for nothing :( I'm hoping they offer to give us something extra but doubt it.

I know girls last year started a post for seat fillers if people were under their minimum. Not sure if you're interested in that, but the deal was basically that you post on here for future brides who want to attend your wedding there to fill seats and they provide an agreed upon amount per person to attend. They get the experience and you don't lose as much money. Just some food for thought, I'd search the 2013 boards for more info.

i didn't get married at JT, but if I came under my minimum, my venue told me that'd give me something extra (maybe an extra CH station or pasta course). I would DEFINITELY inquire about that, get whatever you can!

We had 5 no-shows and the bridal attendants packed their meals up for us so we could have them the next day, so at the very least you should get a big pile of dinners!
