Did anyone

tour the maternity ward that they delivered/or plan to deliver in?

I love the hospital that I am going to deliver in. All of my SILs delivered there. However, I am still interested in a tour.

If you did a tour? What did you look out for and at what point in your pregnancy did you do the tour?

I did take a tour during my lamaze class which was when I was 8 months prego.

YEP I took a tour.
At my hopital they had a little meeting where they ran through policies/procedures.
Told us where we had to go into the building when we were in labor- NOT the emergency room!
-no pics of baby in nursery- to protect rights of other babies
-limit deliveries of goodies. One person sent baby furntirue to the HOSPITAL!!
-what paperwork you need to bring with you
-shows u a birthing room, what u r allowed to bring in there - No CANDLES!
-shows u the maternity ward and the size of your room that you share

I did take a tour. It was offered during lamaze. I was 8 months pg. The biggest thing I looked out for was cleanliness

I did a tour as well. It was offered in conjunction with the birthing class we took. I think Phyl gave a good list of things to look for or questions to ask.
